Those interested in driving from Anchorage will enjoy the route in which a large portion is considered a Designated National Forest Scenic Byway. This 225-mile trip will take roughly 4.5 hours as you drive through a massive mountain pass, meandering beside the famous Kenai River, then along the Cook Inlet with incredible views of the Alaska Range.
